Lance Newman
Staff Coach
Coach Newman, currently the Varsity Head Coach for Maine East Girls Basketball, started his coaching journey at Stevenson High School, securing a state championship for the boys’ program in 2015. Transitioning to Maine West, he quickly made an impact as the Assistant Varsity Head Coach, clinching a state victory in his debut season and reaching super sectionals the next year. Following a head coaching shift, Newman contributed as Varsity Assistant at Evanston Township for two years before assuming the Head Coach role at Maine East. Beyond high school, Coach Newman’s expertise extends to training players across levels, from middle school to professional athletes overseas.
