BENEFITS OF ALL IN TRAVEL BASKETBALL
Jr. NBA Flagship Network
ALL IN is 1 of 18 Jr. NBA Flagship Network programs nationwide. The Jr. NBA Flagship Network is comprised of 15 best-in-class youth basketball organizations that share the Jr. NBA’s vision for how the game should be taught and played at the grassroots level, and have committed to pursuing the highest standard of operation in the industry.
adidas® Partnership
ALL IN Athletics is an adidas® sponsored basketball program. We use our relationship with the internationally renowned athletic company to aid our student-athletes in reaching their athletic and academic goals.
HonestGame
ALL IN has partnered with Honest Game to help our athletes track their NCAA academic eligibility requirements - ensuring that they are able to take advantage of their opportunities to compete at the college level.
Player Evaluations
At the conclusion of every season, your child's ALL IN coach will deliver a feedback report utilizing our player evaluation software, TeamGenius. We believe in the ongoing value of offering feedback each season for continuous development.
Flexible Scheduling
We offer flexible practice and tournament scheduling for players that participate in more than one sport during the season. We ask that you provide us with the practice & game schedules for your other team(s) so that we can do our best to plan around them.
Discounted Training
ALL IN travel team players will receive 10% off of skills training throughout the year. Like ALL IN Travel/AAU team practices, ALL IN skills training sessions feature active and dynamic drills to teach game concepts and develop fundamental skills. No sitting on the bench or standing in long lines during drills provides players with the ultimate opportunity to improve their skills over the course of the year. (Discount does not apply to private lessons.)
Positive Coaching
Our coaches are trained to provide positive and constructive feedback to the players in skills training, practices and during the games. The constant feedback provided by coaches and staff will expedite the process for skill development. We believe our coaching staff is unparalleled in their passion, commitment, dedication and knowledge of the game.
Playing Time
ALL IN Travel Basketball is a competitive developmental program. Players are guaranteed at least 40% playing time over the course of a tournament. Although we are trying to compete in tournament games, we believe it is more important to develop all players. By guaranteeing more game reps, we are confident that players will improve their skill set and ability to play the game. (Coaches of elite teams do not have to follow this playing time rule. If your child is being placed on an elite team, you will be notified at the start of the season.)
Appropriate Competition
We will have multiple teams at most grade levels. This allows us to place players appropriately based on their skill level and position. We will work very closely with tournament directors to ensure that your child’s team is playing against other teams that will provide a challenging but competitive matchup.
College Recruiting
The ALL IN staff has worked hard to build meaningful relationships with college coaches and scouting services over the past 19 years. We will ensure that each player is put in a position to receive appropriate college exposure opportunities during AND after the season. We expect multiple players to receive college scholarship offers and collegiate playing opportunities while participating with ALL IN during the spring & summer seasons.
Player Development
The ALL IN goal is to develop each player on and off the court. We will provide a complete basketball experience that stresses: fundamental skills, game concepts, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Professional Coaching Staff
Every member of the ALL IN coaching staff is a USA Basketball Gold Licensed coach. All coaches must complete three items to become a USA Basketball Gold Licensed coach, which includes an extensive background screening, along with completing two courses. The USA Basketball Coach License provides our staff with the national standard in coach education and safety, along with receiving recognition through USA Basketball.
PCA Parent Workshop
During the spring season, as part of our partnership with the Jr. NBA Flagship Network, all parents of ALL IN travel team players will be offered a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Parent Workshop at no cost. Parents impact their children’s lives like no other people can…in sports as in every other aspect. Parents do best by their children when focusing on sports as a developmental opportunity, rather than a do-or-die, win-at-all-cost proposition. A positive parent is a Second-Goal Parent®, who focuses on that Second Goal, the life lessons. Unconditional love for their children regardless of athletic performance and a relentless commitment to helping them process the ups and downs of youth sports marks the positive sports parent.
Affiliates in Counseling
AIC will be able to provide mental health professionals to assist in meeting our goal of prioritizing full development for all those involved with ALL IN.
ADIDAS GEAR PACKAGE
All new players will receive a complete adidas® package with a custom uniform, backpack and shooting shirt as part of the team fee. (Please note: players will be required to wear a practice jersey to practices. If your child does not have an ALL IN practice jersey from a previous season, you will have the option to purchase one for $20 during team registration.)
PRACTICE LOCATIONS
This summer we will be offering four different practice locations.
- ALL IN North teams will practice in the North Suburbs of Chicago near Deerfield, Highland Park & Northbrook.
- ALL IN Northwest teams will practice in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago near Arlington Heights & Mount Prospect.
- ALL IN Lake/McHenry teams will practice in Lake County near Libertyville & Mundelein.
- ALL IN Chicago teams will practice on the north side of the city.
TEAMS
Each season we will have multiple teams at each grade level. Teams will be split up based on skill level, position and where our staff best believes your child will develop their individual skill set and contribute the most to their respective team.
SEASON DETAILS
TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the summer season are held at the end of May/beginning of June (please click here for specific tryout info at each of our locations).
SEASON DATES
The summer travel season runs from the beginning of June through the end of July. (High school teams will practice a few times in June, but the bulk of practices and all of the games will take place in July, due to commitments with their respective high school programs.
AGES
2nd-12th grade boys & 3rd-12th grade girls (2023-2024 school grade)
(1st grade boys & 2nd grade girls are eligible to tryout if they are able to play on a standard 10 foot basketball hoop.)
TOURNAMENTS
Local teams will play in at least 4 weekend (2nd-4th grade) or 5 weekend (5th-12th grade) events (usually within an hours drive of the team's practice location). Tournaments are one OR two-day events that are held on Saturdays and Sundays in June & July and feature 2-3 games each day).
PRACTICE DAYS
Players will participate in two team practices each week. Practices will be held on Monday-Friday between 5pm-9pm (2nd-5th grade) and between 4pm-10pm (6th-12th grade). We collect conflicts during tryout registration and do our best to create a practice schedule that works for the majority of players on each team.
Regional & National Teams
All 6th-12th grade players that tryout may be eligible to be evaluated for a Regional or National team. All 6th through 12th grade Regional and National teams were formed in the spring, as these teams have a competitive spring/summer tournament schedule. 6th-8th grade teams will play in a minimum of 4 summer events. 9th-12th grade teams will play in a minimum of 3 summer events. We anticipate having openings during the summer for several of these teams, and your child will be assessed for placement in all available team levels. Please click here to learn more about Regional & National teams.
