Jamie Nelson

Jamie Nelson is an experienced coach and sports professional dedicated to developing young athletes. After a four-year football career as a Tight End at Loras College, he earned his B.A. in Sports Management and Business in 2019, choosing a career that combines his passion for sports and working with kids.

Jamie is the General Manager of Hi-Five at Hawthorn, where he teaches basketball to young athletes every day, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fundamentals. Prior to his current role, he spent two years as an Assistant Coach at Newman Central Catholic High School, where he was part of the staff that led the team to the 2A IHSA Championship in 2019. He also has three years of experience coaching youth baseball under the guidance of former MLB catcher Eric Munson.

With a strong background in coaching and leadership, Jamie is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court. Outside of coaching, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and snowmobiling.
