TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the spring season are held at the end of February through the beginning of March (please click here for specific tryout info at each of our locations).
SEASON DATES
The spring travel season runs from the middle of March through the end of May.
The spring/summer travel season for elite 6th-12th grade teams will participate from the middle of March through the end of July. 8th-12th grade teams will not have any games in June, as they will be participating with their respective high school programs.
AGES
2nd-12th grade boys & 3rd-12th grade girls
(1st grade boys & 2nd grade girls are eligible to tryout if they are able to play on a standard 10 foot basketball hoop.)
TOURNAMENTS
Teams will play in up to 6 weekend events (usually within an hours drive of the team's practice location). Tournaments are one OR two-day events that are held on Saturdays and Sundays in April and May and feature 2-3 games each day).
PRACTICE DAYS
Players will participate in two team practices each week. Practices will be held on Monday-Friday between 4pm-10pm. We collect conflicts during tryout registration and do our best to create a practice schedule that works for the majority of players on each team.
REGIONAL & NATIONAL teams
All 6th-12th grade players that tryout will be evaluated for a Regional or National team. All 6th through 12th grade National teams must be able to commit to a spring and summer schedule, as these teams have a competitive national tournament schedule. We will have Regional 6th-12th grade elite teams that will commit to a spring only schedule. Player Evaluations
At the conclusion of every season, your child's ALL IN coach will deliver a feedback report utilizing our player evaluation software, TeamGenius. We believe in the ongoing value of offering feedback each season for continuous development.
Flexible Scheduling
We offer flexible practice and tournament scheduling for players that participate in more than one sport during the season. We ask that you provide us with the practice & game schedules for your other team(s) so that we can do our best to plan around them.
Discounted Training
ALL IN travel team players will receive discounted skills training and 50% off school day off camps throughout the year. Like ALL IN Travel/AAU team practices, ALL IN skills training sessions feature active and dynamic drills to teach game concepts and develop fundamental skills. No sitting on the bench or standing in long lines during drills provides players with the ultimate opportunity to improve their skills over the course of the year.
Positive Coaching
Our coaches are trained to provide positive and constructive feedback to the players in skills training, practices and during the games. The constant feedback provided by coaches and staff will expedite the process for skill development. We believe our coaching staff is unparalleled in their passion, commitment, dedication and knowledge of the game.
Playing Time
ALL IN Travel Basketball is a competitive developmental program. Players are guaranteed at least 40% playing time over the course of a tournament. Although we are trying to compete in tournament games, we believe it is more important to develop all players. By guaranteeing more game reps, we are confident that players will improve their skill set and ability to play the game. (Coaches of elite teams do not have to follow this playing time rule. If your child is being placed on an elite team, you will be notified at the start of the season.)
Appropriate Competition
We will have multiple teams at most grade levels. This allows us to place players appropriately based on their skill level and position. We will work very closely with tournament directors to ensure that your child’s team is playing against other teams that will provide a challenging but competitive matchup.
College Recruiting
The ALL IN staff has worked hard to build meaningful relationships with college coaches and scouting services over the past 21 years. We will ensure that each player is put in a position to receive appropriate college exposure opportunities during AND after the season. We expect multiple players to receive college scholarship offers and collegiate playing opportunities while participating with ALL IN during the spring & summer seasons.
Player Development
The ALL IN goal is to develop each player on and off the court. We will provide a complete basketball experience that stresses: fundamental skills, game concepts, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Professional Coaching Staff
Every member of the ALL IN coaching staff is a USA Basketball Gold Licensed coach. All coaches must complete three items to become a USA Basketball Gold Licensed coach, which includes an extensive background screening, along with completing two courses. The USA Basketball Coach License provides our staff with the national standard in coach education and safety, along with receiving recognition through USA Basketball.
PCA Parent Workshop
As part of our Jr. NBA Flagship Network partnership, ALL IN travel team parents are invited to a free Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Parent Workshop. The workshop helps parents view sports as a developmental opportunity—teaching life lessons, not just focusing on wins and losses. A “Second-Goal Parent®” provides unconditional support while guiding their child through the ups and downs of youth sports.
Affiliates in Counseling
AIC will be able to provide mental health professionals to assist in meeting our goal of prioritizing full development for all those involved with ALL IN.
