DEERFIELD FEEDER (BOYS 3RD-8TH GRADE)
overview
The Deerfield Young Warriors program is tailored to offer 3rd to 8th-grade boys who are passionate about basketball the chance to engage in high-level competition, receive mentorship, and gain exposure to the Deerfield High School basketball program.
DEERFIELD YOUNG WARRIORS TEAM DETAILS
Uniform Package
Each player will receive a high-grade reversible uniform and moisture management shooting shirt
Season Dates
The feeder season runs from mid the beginning of November through the beginning of March.
Practices
Players will participate in two team practices per week at the Berto Center (or at schools in District 109) in Deerfield.
Games/Tournaments
Feeder teams will participate in a minimum of 20 games. Leagues and tournament games will be played on weekends only. Individual games against other communities can be scheduled on weeknights and/or weekends.
Teams
We will have at least one team per school grade.
Ages
3rd-8th grade boys (2nd grade players are allowed to tryout for the 3rd Grade Teams.)
TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the 2023-2024 season will be held between 10/11-10/16.
All players are required to attend at least one tryout to be appropriately evaluated for a Deerfield Feeder team.
Tryout Location: Deerfield High School (1959 Waukegan Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015)
Tuesday, 10/10:
- 6th Grade: 7pm-8pm
- 7th Grade: 8pm-9pm
- 8th Grade: 8pm-9pm
Wednesday, 10/11:
- 3rd Grade: 6pm-7pm
- 4th Grade: 6pm-7pm
- 5th Grade: 7pm-8pm
- 6th Grade: 8pm-9pm
Thursday, 10/12:
- 3rd Grade: 6pm-7pm
- 4th Grade: 6pm-7pm
- 5th Grade: 7pm-8pm
- 6th Grade: 8pm-9pm
Monday, 10/16:
- 6th Grade: 6pm-7:30pm
- 7th Grade: 7:30-9pm
- 8th Grade: 7:30pm-9pm
TRYOUT REGISTRATION
There is no fee to tryout, but all players must be pre-registered to attend tryouts. Please click the link below to pre-register your child.
